TV season (well the shows that I am watching) is upon us!

new season of

House MD - just finished watching 5x01. The episode was so dramatic hehe I think it will be a great season for House again.

Dexter - 3 x 01 Kinda a slow start, the episode introduced the series and filled in some holes. Also Dexter has a new dilemma :D

Heroes - NEXT WEEK!!!

yay!

Coming Out

Im going to admit it!
.
.
.
.
.

Im a GAMER (lol nothing new)
anyway aside from playing video games whether its console or pc games.

I have also ventured into table top gaming particularly board games and card games( yeah i know board games are for the bored).
Aside from being lots of fun most of them have strategies involved and an interactive aspect :D

From L - R Zooloretto; Guillotine; Ticket to Ride; Apples to Apples.

Zooloreto involves a zoo and getting points by placing animals in their enclosures. (2-5 players)
Guillotine is a card game set in the French Revolution, where someone wins by getting a head of others (2-5 players)
Ticket to Ride, this game can be taught easily to other players. the game involves placing of trains which get points by the number of places visited (2-5 players)
Apples to Apples is a card party game similar to taboo. the rulebook (if you can call it that) is just one page. Its a game of hilarious comparisons (4 to 10 players actually can go higher)

So there thats a list of my board games. If you want to try out any of the games dont hesitate to talk to me and i wont mind playing as long as we have enough people

We Need Your Help

Yesterday at around 5PM, GK Brookside, one of Ateneo's partner Gawad Kalinga villages was severely flooded when the river near it overflowed due to the continuous rainfall. Floodwaters rose to roof level and at least two houses were already destroyed while many more were damaged. The Philippine Army mobilized at around 6PM and were able to safely evacuate the residents.

Currently, volunteers from GK National and the Philippine Army are piling sandbags and cleaning up the village. However, they are still lacking in materials and tools, as well as additional manpower. You may help out in two ways:

1.) Volunteer in the GK Brookside village and help out with cleaning.

This'll involve a lot of digging, sweeping, picking up, and probably a bit of smashing stuff. Bring your own shovel, broom, pick axe, hoe, or what have you. I won't be personally handling this, but you may contact me (see number 2) so that I can give you details on what to do as well as who to contact/find (I'm not giving away the contact person's number here for his sake).

OR

2.) Volunteer for the Brookside response team in Ateneo / donate goods.

This is the team we're trying to organize now, and we're setting up the staging point in the Ateneo de Manila. I have already assembled a team of volunteers to collect and keep track of donations coming in, and what we really need right now are donations of:

FOOD; canned goods, cooked food that doesn't spoil right away, as long as its edible

CLEAN, DRINKING WATER; despite all the water they just received from the river, they still need something to drink, don;t they?

CLOTHES and BLANKETS; the people of Brookside are cold and wet, let's give them a little warmth for the days ahead

ANTIBIOTICS; now I'm not an expert at these things, but I was just told that whatever antibiotics you can give, give it. We'll be sorting these stuff out anyway, so fret not.

YOUR NETWORK; really, we need this. If you have more friends/contacts/enemies who give a little something, it'd be greatly appreciated.

If you're interested, please contact me ASAP at 09063079390. Our headquarters is at the Gawad Kalinga Ateneo Coordinating Office at the 2nd Floor of the CCS Building in front of ISO. You may drop of your donations there, or if you want to lend an extra hand (we kinda have enough though) then please drop by. HQ opens its doors for donations at around 12NN, but please send me a text message just so I know that you're coming.

Let's all respond to the call of heroism! Bawat Pilipino Bayani!

-Mykey Cuento
Key Accounts Team, Gawad Kalinga National
Volunteer, Gawad Kalinga Isang Milyong Bayani Ateneo de Manila

from: mykeycuentoako@multiply.com

rainy days are upon us

fun experience today

had my first serious colleague counseling today and the topic was about relationships (haha parati naman e) was really glad that my colleague thanked me sa text it really feels great to be shown appreciation...

then i went to the gym from 5-7 (coz i was coding), my shoulder almost gave in due to past injuries. but it was a great day at the gym

heres the fun part, due to heavy rains, flooding and heavy traffic... i got stranded at Roces Ave. and i decided to have dinner at lydia's lechon lol. Before i went down the car i checked my wallet and saw that i only had php180 (still havnt gotten my latest pay) so i ordered kapeng barako (55) and CHICHARON BITUKA (95) knowing that i was gona stay there for a long time. I didnt know that the order of CHICHARON BITUKA was pulutan size served on an elliptical plate (duno what those plates are called yung pang appetizer etc). so i was there all alone in Lydia's lechon eating CHICHARON that was good for 4 people (which i finished) plus the coffee which raises metabolism heart rate etc... so up to now i can still feel the colesterol on my nape and my chest area feels tight and constricted (duno if its because of the gym or teh food)

Due to my binge right now im afraid to go to sleep haha coz i might not wake up the next day haha and so in Team Potchoy (GK Bayani Challenge team) tradition everytime there is a danger of us passing on:

Tell Mama and Papa that I love them.

w00t

Lessons on the inner freak and outer cuteness

Mga tagpi tagping paguusap with Mika @ 3am

custom_made_creation: i don't want to lead on guys. especially those i'm sure i'd never really whatever. what? you think i should give them chances?

viscoos: sa totoo lang, di ko alam. malay mo kasi may inner freak din naman. pero i guess kung walang outer cuteness wag na

custom_made_creation: so there. plus. what if . i just know. i mean. i just know i wouldn't ever give a guy a chance from the beginning.

viscoos: then you wouldnt know kung may inner freak siya

viscoos: in my opinion i believe that lahat ng guy may inner freak sa loob yan e, there is this something na magugustuhan mo talaga sa lalaki tapos kakapit ka dun kung nadiscover mo na. hindi lang nagiging succesful for a guy if they do it prematurely yung umaamin ng maaga

viscoos : but then there are just some things na hindi na talaga magugustuhan ng girl to begin with

rarw frak this!

Sobra akong kinakabahan now, i can feel churning in my stomach and i can actually feel my heart and my pulse resounding all over, even the smallest and mundane task of breathing feels taxing.

and why is this? because tomorow i will start working in Xavier, as a guidance counselor. and I am chickenie scared as shit now, about the future, and about the things that have passed.

there are a lot of questions swimming, how will i fare? will i be happy? when will be the next time i can sleep late on a weekday? will i still be able to raid for Tribo? Whats next? When will i see her again?

I guess there are still a lot of unfulfilled wishes, things that are suppose to be forgotten and let go but somehow i cant.

A lot of things has happend, after and during grad. Grad day was the happiest day because of an incident, and yet i realize after that, wala na, I can only pray and hope that, it will happen again. I let it rest, I said to myself you have a future ahead of you and you can just let go and forget. So forget i did, I played and just played for an entire week, there was a serene calmness within me during that week after grad. Only to be stirred up in Ratay, Calabanga, Camarines Sur. I helped out and joined GK Bayani Challenge and a lot of times during the most persevering of times during those days, she and the incident would flash in my head and i would smile, and continue working.

After GK, the Binondo Crew went back to Binondo it was the first time i saw the bunch after grad, while hanging out with them, it struck me that there is this cold inevitiblity that we would see each other again. and when that time comes, i just pray that the inner ardor wouldnt seep out so that there can be a visage of normality. so that i wont screw things up again

I actually enjoy and cherish the despair and agony, because i know one of these days ill catch a glimpse of her again.

After that weekend all incidents involving people who i know who is somehow related to her gives me the feeling that maybe shes just there aroudn the corner. The poker night with the BARON (where i took all of their money), the wake befor it (i guess im an evil person) and that time when i saw a friend of hers in eastwood, and i thought that maybe she was there too. all the nervous anticipating just for 1 person.

I realized just now that its funny, Im writing all of this for someone who I barely know, in the heirarchy of relationships its somewhere there in between acquaintance and knowing the existance of such a person. and yet i appreciate all of what i know of her.

I am hesitating now to press the "POST" button because I dont know what ripples of chaos this post will cause, the mere fact that i am typing this says a lot already.
and i guess hindi ko ito itatago.

*EDITED FOR SEMBLANCE OF COHERENCE AND ENDING

GK Bayani Challenge

Just came home from Bicol, the Ateneo delegation was sent to Ratay, Calabanga, Camarines Sur. and due to the lonh hours under the sun during building (8am-12nn 1ishpm-5pm) for 3 1/2 days ang itim itim ko haha most probably people would not recognize me when they see me.

i really have no idea what else to write ang saya saya ng experience nakakapagod siya and i dont know where to start, i want to write a lot of things here about the experience but di ko feel hahaha mas ok kung kausapin ako abt things like this!

GK is really helping the country, they give hope to people who have lost hope, kailan ka ba nakakita ng mga tao from Payatas, Bagong Silang and other GK sites to volunteer and help out. these people are part of the poorest of the poor, na tinulungan ng GK and now they have a sense of volunteerism even though they do not really have a lot. anyway its really cool that those people who came from slum areas and (now astig na yung tinitirahan nila) help out

anyway sana next year makasali pa rin ako

Daily life... hindi ito new year stuff

This is divided into 3 parts, may mga headings para dun sa mga may balak basahin w00t

Myself
During my stay in Bicol, a lot of the psycho social intervention people wanted to go to videoke to destress after the tiring sessions we had with the survivors. Before I did not really want to, but due to their constant egging and pursuading, napiltan din yung utak ko so when I finally decided to say yes that is when we were reminded that walang koryente sa Legaspi. so di kami nakapag videoke. anyway ngayon while im in manila already I felt that my singing voice has become really raspy... not that it sounded good before but hindi na siya tunog Tungyu, nawawala yung pagka gusto ko sa singin voice ko :)) anyway... sana mahanap ko ulit ang singing voice ko.

Relationship
As a lot of my friends know a family friend from the province has asked us to sell golden retriever puppies here in manila, at first there was 2 (a boy and a girl) and we were able to sell the boy na :) yay, so we are stuck with the other dog... and lately i have took the responsiblity of taking care of her so i walk her, feeed her playing with her etc etc etc... yesterday there were potential buyers who checked her out. when they were here i felt dread, i really did not want her to go, i wish that we could just keep her... oh well :)) one thing really funny though is that we are calling her puppy kasi di naman siya sa amin but we dont know what to call her hahaha if ever ffeeling ko mastuck yung name na puppy sa kaniya... hay hope we can keep her... and also at the same time i want this to be all over with...

World of Warcraft
just leveled up Deepestblue ud priest to 60, the max cap level :) now im just waiting for TBC yung expansion ng WoW
well ayun...

:)) im gona play again
